It’s been fifteen years since the wolfblood secret came out, and the first generation of wolfbloods since the reveal is growing up in tumultuous times. Thirteen-year-old Isobel Morris, the daughter of two alpha wolfbloods, is excited for her first trip to England to see family friend Jana. Even better, she gets to go to England with her best friend, a human named Florence. Both girls hope the city of Newcastle-upon-Tyne will be kinder to wolfbloods than their small hometown of Lavesque, Ontario, but they quickly learn it isn’t that simple.
Derwyn Yarwood used to be a wild wolfblood. After a brutal attack scatters the wild pack, Derwyn and his mum must make their home in Newcastle. While Mum seems to adjust rather well, Derwyn misses the wild and wants nothing more than to return home. One fateful full moon, Mum escapes the flat, and Derwyn must search for her. At the same time, news comes out of a rogue wolfblood terrorizing the city. Derwyn assumes the worst, that his mum is the attacker. Now he has to find mum and get her home before she can cause anymore damage.
Read along as their stories collide and they have to work together to stop the wolfblood attacks and convince the world that wolfbloods are not, in fact, dangerous beasts. How will they do that? That’s for them to figure out as they explore this wild, wild city?
